5 main topics for america

Here in America, we have some major issues at hand.  Our planet experiences natural disasters everyday. From Earthquakes, tornados, volcano eruptions, to hurricanes. We as the human race need to help and fund each other so help rescue people after these disasters. Recently, these disasters have been getting much more severe.
Our military are one of the largest, most trained, and highly funded militaries in the world. We have some of the most technologically advanced aircraft on planet earth. We have highly trained infantry, navy, and air force enlisted officers.  We do not need less soldiers, but maybe some more. you can never have a big enough army.
Our air pollution is a serious problem. We have all of these diesel trucks and trains and boats, all just pumping black smoke into our clean air. It is tarring holes in our ozone layer and our green house effect is getting weakling, and strong at points, which isn't good. It is causing Us to have global warming, which is extreme hot and cool weather patterns.
Our prisons are over crowded. We just keep throwing people in there, like they are subways in china, the guards pushing and shoving the people to make them fit. We need to have a purge, just to lower the crime rate, and the population would lower.
We need a better department of highways. There a giant pot holes in our main roads, and our back roads. We need to find a good leader to fix all of or roads. They need to work on organization, and safety on the main roads, atleast the main roads.

11/6 BR

Im glad West Virginia has broken history for something. She is 18 and a half year old, and shes making west Virginia proud now. Her being young will help and hurt her decisions. Her young age would give her a new and different prospective, and it will also hurt her because she hasn't had time to grow and learn everything about this country.

Br 10/30

This article is about the election taking place for the House of Representatives and the Senate seats. Shelley Capito is running and if elected, will be the first woman to represent West Virgnia. She would also be the first republican to be elected in West Virginia in the past 56 years. I agree with it, if i could vote, my vote would be for Shelley Capito. She is standing up for West Virginia, if we didnt have resources, like coal, then we would practiclly be worthless to america. The people without jobs anyways.

No, I am against the death penalty. I feel that jail time is a much more severe punishment than the "easy way out." Yes, they postponed it because of ineffective legal council.

2.Suicide is a cowards way out. She just doesn't want to suffer with the brain tumor. Suicide is your back up plan, its your way out. She just wants what she wants.\
3.I would probably feel the exact same way. I would want to go out on my own terms, with my own decision. And with my family there with me. it wouldn't be vulgar or messy. It would be a shot and she would be peaceful after that.

assigenment 9/29

1. The article I read was about the second amendment. It says that if the other amendments are not restricted to the persons home, why should concealed handguns be restricted? It was for the right to bear arms and being able to carry concealed weapons.

2.A woman from Michigan argued that the 14th amendment was to protect all American citizens equally, not just the blacks. It stands to show we are all equals, despite race or color. This is sure to spark a fury of debates, lectures, and arguments.

3.An police officer noticed three men pacing infront of a jewelry store and suspected a robbery. He approached the men and Identified himself. He then stopped and frisked the three men to se is they had any concealed guns on them. The men said the frisk violated their 4th amendment rights.

BR 9/26

The percentage is so low because of the laziness that comes with the internet and cellphones. They have thought us that We can do everything and talk to everyone from the couch. We could inspire people to go to college, we could help them find a college or build a community college for cheaper prices.

2. They might have to be manually used and it would make sense to keep them close. They could also keep a good eye on them and get better signals.
3.They could be, they want to keep an eye on everything, even if its not their business. It would make sense to put them by military bases if it was the government, because the military could protect them.

whats wrong with the goverment?

Our largest problems in America are the gas prices, unemployment, and the U.S. debt. Coming right out of school, each person owes over 55 grand towards the debt clock. The working class of America is barely over 1/3 of the population for the U.S.

First thing off of my head, big oil company's own America. They have congressmen and senator and mayor, even the presidential office in the palm of their hands, just with the power of money. Gas is 3.59$ a gallon. That' more ridiculous than when Clinton said " I have tried marijuana, only once, and I didn't inhale." One solution for this is everyone could stop buying gas and strike.

Unemployment is a serious problem here in America. There are only a third of all Americans' working at the moment. This is why we are in debt, why have taxes if their isn't anybody working to take the taxes from. Also, why charge the poor people more for taxes and the rich people less?

America owes 18 trillion dollars to a variety of different countries. Last year we made tons of budget cuts, these was going to pay off the debt in 15 years. Well, since then we have spent billions of useless, pointless things. I know that because we are America, one of the laziest and most mixed countries. We are filled with idiots, geniuses, average people. We have some of the healthiest, and unhealthiest people in the world.

After writing this essay, I have realized that I know much more about America then I first realized. I didn't have to look any of this up, I learned it all from Mr. Bowers. He was such a wonderful and practically the perfect teacher.

bellringer for 8/19/14

1. The police should of came out and told the public what the officers name was that shot Mr. brown.
Instead of canceling school for a day, their local police department should of took extra care and patrolled around the school and near by streets.
2.Excessive force in my opinion means spraying bullets with no probable cause. If the victim had a lethal weapon, or charged at them, then use excessive force. I don't believe excessive force was used, all they did was " allegedly" shoot a robber.
3. They should be trying hard to disperse the crowd without tear gas. The tear gas isn't helping calm the people down but it makes them angry and does the opposite of calming them down. I would be trying my best to get all the information I could get to the crowd.

Dear Senior,

I have accomplished so much already at PB. I'm a completer in the study of Agriculture. I love coming to school, I just hate waking up so early. I would love to improve my people skills before I leave here permanently. I cant wait until I graduate, so I can jump right into the air force. These years at PB have changed myself a lot and it went by way too quickly. This time next year hopefully ill be in pilot training to learn to operate jets and commercial airlines.  This is the beginning of our lives, and I believe most of us are ready for it.
